Most exciting event for a collage student is to own there credit card. A person owns his/her first credit card at collage. These lead a massive opportunity for the students in collage life because the credit card will help you through in shopping, allow you to shop through the internet or it can be useful in the need of emergency. However if you don’t have a credit card yet then it’s not a big problem, because there are lot of credit card companies in the campus area waiting for you.

The students always should remember that credit card is not free money. You do have to pay the charge that the companies require. Finance charge, annual fee, late payment fee, and cash advance fee are some of the mentionable fees that credit companies will charge you. Among them, try to avoid the cash advance fee because it is expensive and the interest rate are high. Annual fee is the membership fee and the charge will be from anywhere to $20-$100. This fee mainly depends on the company. Finance charge is the fee for your unpaid part of your bill in each month.

The important thing that students should be aware of is keeping there account up to date. Students should always pay off the entire amount in there account in each month, or else the student have to face big financial charges. Another thing the students always keep in there minds that collage year is the important year for student to build up a great credit report, which will be pretty helpful later on the students’ career.

It is not that hard for you to maintain these rules. Just be little careful and use the credit card in a smart way. Always read the full terms and condition before filling out the form, do not shop impulse in you credit card and the best is use it when you really need it.

Nowadays card is very popular as a gift because a gift card has many advantages than any other ordinary gifts. At the very outset, when you want to give any gift such as shirts, jeans, books and so on to the people in different occasion, you always get anxiety that if your gifts become admirable to the gift recipient. I think, the main reason behind the preference gift cards over others gift is, it will help the recipient to purchase any products which is his or her really necessary, suppose, you give to someone a pair of jeans as birthday gift but he already got several jeans; so he does not need any more. On the other hand, maybe he has no watch and it is very necessary for him; so, he will expect that you are likely to give him a watch.  But sometimes it is totally impossible for anyone to know actually what thing the recipient wants to get as a gift. As a result, you spend much money suppose $100 for jeans but your recipient wants to get shirts which maybe cost only $80. So in this case, you spend more money but the recipient is not happy but if you give him shirts for less cost, it makes a smile over his face and you also get a mental satisfaction.

Nowadays many cards companies provide various types of special offer in gift cards. You may choose one of those. But you should concern about their hidden cost. To choose a best gift card you may take help from any expert. Then pick a right card and give it to the recipient and get satisfaction when you see the recipient give you special thanks as you help him or her to get a necessary thing.

John Smith shopped from the internet and he bought his favorite car and dream come true. He used his master card and he was very happy because he thought he made good profit up until he used same master card at the local mall. He found out that enormous amount of money has vanished from the account.

Mr. Richardson had dinner on of his favorite restaurant with wife, celebrating his promotion on job. He also paid the bill with VISA card. Next time he used his VISA card, he was also amazed like John Smith. Like Mr. Smith, large number of money just disappears from his account.

These two stories are common where the money is missing from lot of peoples account around the world now a day. Such crime is known as Credit Card Fraud. Credit Card fraud crime is on the rise today. Dramatically the internet is now the blessing haven for the thief and fraud of the credit card criminals. These crimes can also be committed by the lost credit card, unprotected card number and so on.

Two types of identify thief and fraud category are known, application fraud and account takeover. Application fraud is when the criminal uses a lost or stolen credit card. Or the criminal also crates a false empty account using someone else’s name and address. The account takeover is like when a criminal gathers victim’s personal information and then slowly takes over there personal account, then they contacts the bank and proof that they are the original card holder. Convincing that he is the owner of the card then the criminal report to the bank about his new adders and he has lost his card. Sometimes it is also seen that the fraud duplicated the credit card.

If I continue to write about credit card fraud it will not be a journal, it will turn out to be novel. So let’s cut to the chess and be alert that how can we can be safe from these crimes.
1.    Do not carry too many credit cards at once. One or at least two credit card can be carried but also be very cautious about the number of credit card that you are carrying.
2.    Be very cautious about your PIN or Personal Identification Number. Do not write down your PIN here and there.
3.    Please report immediately when your valuable credit card is lost or stolen. This will prevent the thief to use your credit card and the bank can close your account number as soon as you report to them.

The credit card fraud crimes are increasing day by day. Almost billion of dollars of losses are reached annually. So, be very careful with your credit card because the very next victim can be you.

We know there are many advantages to use a credit card though there are a few disadvantages as well. But after all of those, in my one works on travel, I suggest to tourists to use credit card when they are in a trip. There are some specific reason that why I suggest to use credit cards, suppose you may take a decision to visit to Spain for making a vacation, and decide to change £2500 into Euros but you will most likely have a bad exchange rate. Moreover, all types of commissions and taxes charged by the bank or Post Office. On the other hand, get your credit card and use it on any trip; you get the rate typically be far better.

Sometimes we face such situation that we need to travel but we do not have available cash; in this case, your credit card is very beneficial because with a credit card you can purchase any product now but you may pay later. Another point in its favor, there are some hotels, shops and car rentals accept only credit cards not any cash. Further advantages, if you use credit card, you do not need to carry cash; as a result there is no risk to snatch your money. Additionally, when you purchase any airline ticket using credit card, you will get free travel insurance. Furthermore, it gives you purchase protection for a certain amount of time after one purchase is made. In addition to say, it will provide loss protection; so your card is if stolen; just make a call to your provider to stop it services and re-issue a card. On the other hand, in a trip if your money is stolen there is no possibility to get back it; as a result, you have to face many unwanted situation.

But one thing you should bear in your mind that you must keep each receipt and check those carefully against your credit card statement when you return home and if you get any doubt inform it to your service provider instantly.

As a student you have no excuse for large expenses. But as a student you may need cash for travel or entertainment. This is why a student applies for a credit card, which will be sufficient for his emergency purpose. Parents then make sure that their youth are well-provided financially, even at the onset of their high-school years. Students cannot be held exclusively accountable for limited knowledge as most parents think that they know about commitments involved with buy of credit cards.
